Butterfly Memorial Poem
A rush of wings
they flutter high
to touch the sun
and kiss the sky
A butterfly
is with us now
No more a caterpillar
upon a leaf
(Person's Name) with angel wings
A soaring butt
With us they sing

Butterflies
Free the butterflies-
I'll be there
to see them soar
upon the air
Know my spirit
is on the wing
feel my laughter
Hear me sing
Forever in your dreams
Always in your heart.
Author Fran LeMaters
I am always with You
When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears
But be thankful we had so many good years
I gave you my love, and you can only guess
how much you've given me in happiness
I thank you for the love that you have shown
but now it is time I traveled on alone.
So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
that it is only for a while that we must part
so treasure the memories within your heart
I won't be far away for life goes on.
And if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near
and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
all my love around you soft and clear
And then, when you come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile, and a welcome home.

Special Butterfly
Oh butterfly
you are so magnificent
as you gently soar
high above the earth
connected only
by gravity's invisible pull.
You bring joy and happiness
to all who know you
you add beauty to the flowers
and trees where ever you go
you make the world complete!
You are free
free to float with the breeze
high above the trees
absorbing the beauty
and wonder of all below.
You are free
free to land
on a child's outstretched hand
to trust
to linger for awhile
and feel the gentle warmness
of the sun on your body.
You are free
free to excite
the fish below the surface
as you dart left and right
only inches above a southern pond.
While you soar
on fresh breezes out of sight
as you explore the mysteries
and wonders of new ponds
you are in my thoughts and prayers
you are missed!
